Davis, Phares marry Oct. 1 in Tuscaloosa

Jon Erickson Davis and Alisha Michele Phares were married at 11 a.m. Oct. 1, 2011, at Temple Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The Rev. James Crawford officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Randall Phares and Michele Phares, both of Tuscaloosa, Ala. She is the granddaughter of Joe and Sandra Phares of Northport, Ala., Foman and Barbara Deerman of Peterson, Ala., and the late Jimmy Moon.

The groom is the son of Broderick and Regina Davis of Moundville, Ala. He is the grandson of Ellen Porter and the late J.C. Porter of Fosters, Ala., and Betty Davis and the late J.B. Davis of Moundville.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were gray and cranberry.

Matron of honor was Andrea Carr of Tuscaloosa. The groom’s father served as best man.

A luncheon, hosted by the groom’s parents, followed the ceremony at the Cypress Inn Restaurant.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Ross Bridge Resort in Birmingham, Ala. They will make their home in Tuscaloosa.

The bride is a student at the University of Alabama and is assistant manager at Sew Delightful. The groom is an architectural draftsman at the University of Alabama.
