Mickey J. Rush died on Oct. 22, 2011. She was 88.

Mrs. Rush was born on Jan. 28, 1923, to William Edgar Johnson and Mary Francis Hunnicutt in Chico County, Ark. She was a longtime member of Hawkins United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Edgar Johnson Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Edgar S. Rush; two sons, Henry M. Lee (Pat) of Huntsville, Ala., and Paul L. Rush (Wendi) of Vicksburg; two daughters, Barbara Shannon (Michael) of Hazlehurst, and Sheila Rush of Byram; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Josh Rush, David Lee, Joe Lee, Raymond Prescott, Andy Shannon, Rush Flowers and Michael Taylor.

Arrangements are incomplete with Glenwood Funeral Home in charge.
