“Making a joyful noise unto the Lord” is the theme for the sixth annual Harvest Ball sponsored by Mount Carmel Ministries.

“The event will be Christians getting together, rejoicing in Christ and celebrating everything he has done for your life,” said Tracey Wilson, chairman of this year’s event

“One of the goals of the church is to reach out to unbelievers,” she said, “And what better way to do this than for God’s people to come together and worship corporately?”

The dinner and ball will be Nov. 12 at Vicksburg Auditorium.

“Last year we had about 189 attend,” said Wilson. “We are hoping for 200 this year.”

“The special guest for the event will be Minister Allen Jordan,” said Wilson, an associate minister at Shady Grove Baptist Church and a graduate of Howard University who is working toward his masters of divinity degree at Memphis Theological Seminary.
