The Vicksburg Warren School District’s “listen and learn” forums will be available for parents, teachers and the public to discuss issues within the school district.

Meetings will be at 6 p.m. Monday at Warren Central High School and 6 p.m. Tuesday at Vicksburg High School. A third meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Nov. 1 at Grove Street School.

“I want to maintain an open line of communication with the community,” Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Duran Swinford said. “It’s a town effort.”

When Swinford took the helm in August 2010, the forums were held as way for her to communicate with the community, she said.

Information collected from the forums will be used to guide the administration’s decision-making process, she said.
