Therriault goes wild in JSU’s big victory

Casey Therriault threw for three touchdowns and ran for three more, leading Jackson State in a 44-14 rout of Prairie View on Saturday at Independence Stadium.
Therriault accounted for every Jackson State (7-1, 5-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference) touchdown in the Shreveport Classic, and finished with 398 passing yards and 56 rushing yards. His 2-yard run, a 41-yard TD pass to Rico Richardson and a 7-yarder to Renty Rollins helped the Tigers to a 24-7 halftime lead.
The Jackson State quarterback also threw an 18-yard touchdown to Richardson and had a pair of 1-yard scoring runs, putting the Tigers up 44-7 midway through the fourth quarter. Richardson had 87 yards receiving and two scores, Rollins had 90 yards and a score and Marcellos Wilder had 101 yards.
