The Salvation Army of Vicksburg’s annual Angel Tree campaign kickoff will be Nov. 10 at Vicksburg Mall.

The event will be at 5:30 p.m. and feature entertainment by The Salvation Army Band of Jackson. The campaign serves about 900 children ages birth to 12 in Warren, Claiborne, Sharkey and Issaquena counties. The drive will run through Dec. 10 and distribution of gifts will be Dec. 15.

A makeup application day will be Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Salvation Army office, 530 Mission 66. The office will be closed between noon and 1 p.m. for lunch. Applicants need to bring identification, children’s birth certificates and proof of income and expenses.

In addition to the mall, Angel Trees will set up at First Presbyterian Church, 1501 Cherry St.; Bowmar Baptist Church, 1825 U.S. 61 South; and Bass Shoe Outlet at the Outlets at Vicksburg, 4000 S. Frontage Road.
