LORMAN — Emma Jane Smith died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at Promise Hospital in Vicksburg. She was 89.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Caleb and Cora Billings Galtney; and her husband, Leonous Smith.

She is survived by four sons, William McKinley Smith of Fayette, Kenneth Earl Smith and Robert Smith, both of Lorman, and Leonous Smith Jr. of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Hester Mae Williams and Pearl Olivia Smith, both of Lorman; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; other relatives; and friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Rose Hill Christian Church in Lorman with elder Walter Chambers officiating. Burial will follow at East Mount Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 5 today at Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson and Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
