DELTA — William Scott Vickers Sr. died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. He was 70.

Mr. Vickers was born in Belzoni, but had been a resident of Delta for the past five years. He was a member of Sheet Metal Local 117.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Turner and Darthula Scott Vickers.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Vickers of Bentonville, Ark.; a son, William Scott Vickers Jr. of Raymond; a daughter, Latisha Vickers of Petal; a brother, John Turner Vickers of Grenada; a sister, Jane Polito of Hammond, La.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services, directed by Glenwood Funeral Home, will be at a later date.
