An auto burglary was reported Thursday at a city motel, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

A Dell laptop computer valued at $500 was reported missing at 8 a.m. from the trunk of a 2009 Hyundai Elantra parked at Days Inn, 95 Warrenton Road.

Separately, a Philips DVD player valued at $50 was reported missing in a residential burglary reported at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Stewart said, where a window was broken at a home in the 100 block of King Drive.
