GREECE, N.Y. — Jack Owen “Papa” Wood died Nov. 14, 2011, at the age of 74. Jack was born in Vicksburg. He was formerly of Seattle for 40 years, where he raised his children.

He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Agnes Wood; and brother, James “Buddy” Wood.

Jack is survived by his wife, Judi Wood; his children, Julie, John (Sara) and Jim Wood of Seattle; her children, Melody (Ben), Julie (Rob), Kelly (Will), Kim (Mike) of Rochester; brothers, Albert (Theresa) of Mississippi and John (Sheila) of Colorado; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; many wonderful friends, including lifelong friend Ray Terry. Jack’s funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mount Read Blvd. in Greece, N.Y. Internment will be at White Haven Memorial Park.
