Earline and David Millsaps hold the American flag they donated Tuesday to fly over the U.S. 80 bridge over the Mississippi River in honor of their mother, the late Blanche Millsaps, who in 1994 began the successful drive to keep Old Glory flying over the span built in 1930. Blanche Millsaps continued to be instrumental in organizing donations of the flag until her death in June. The Army-Navy Club handles the donations currently.
