A Vicksburg woman suspected of stabbing her child’s father in the back Monday night surrendered to deputies Tuesday and was charged with aggravated domestic violence, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

Dekhayla S. Butler, 19, 210 Walters St., is accused of stabbing Devonta Thigpen, 18, 1403 Division St., at the Apple Orchard Apartments, 902 Blossom Lane, Pace said.

Butler turned herself in at the Warren County Jail at 12:40 p.m. and later was released after posting a $5,000 bond.

Thigpen was treated and released from River Region Medical Center, a hospital spokesman said.
