Pat Robertson, executive director of the Public Employees’ Retirement System of Mississippi, has been reappointed to a third term on the Governmental Accounting Standards Advisory Council.

Robertson, of Madison, has been PERS director since 2005.

The 25-member council consults with the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, helps develop the board’s annual budget and conducts fundraisers.

Council members represent preparers and users of financial information, and are selected on the basis of professional expertise and experience.

PERS manages pension funds for 80,000 state and local government retirees and 167,000 employees.
