Gordon Cotton first filed this Christmas story in 2007. It was inspired by a visit of a tiny mouse during Christmas caroling in Jordan’s Chapel Methodist Episcopal Church, South, on Dec. 20, 2003. It is dedicated to Mary Chaney. The late Vicksburg artist Hobbs Freeman sketched the accompanying art.
