Mr. and Mrs. William H. “Bill” Anderson celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Thursday. They were married Dec. 22, 1951, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Vicksburg.

Mr. Anderson is a retired X-ray technician from Hinds General Hospital in Jackson and The Street Clinic in Vicksburg. Mrs. Anderson, the former Bobbie Barber, is a retired dean of the Nursing/Allied Health Center at Hinds Community College and worked as an instructor at Mercy School of Nursing in Vicksburg. She works with the Hinds Community College Nursing Bridge Program. They are members of St. Michael Catholic Church.

The couple’s children are Larry Anderson and wife Patty of Gulfport, Lynn Johnston and husband Paul of Vicksburg, David Anderson and wife Beth of Pontotoc, Carol Taylor and husband Andy of Russellville, Ark., and Nancy Tedder and husband Gerald of Dardanelle, Ark. The Andersons also have 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
