In Sharkey County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday:

• Sylvester Washington, 60, 2421 Chase St., Greenville, pleaded guilty to grand larceny and was sentenced by Circuit Court Judge M. James Chaney to 45 days in jail (time served) followed by five years of probation, plus a $1,000 fine and $322.50 in court costs. Washington was arrested Dec. 11, 2009.
