On behalf of the family of Wayne Smith, former alderman for the City of Vicksburg, I want to thank the city officials for flying the flag at half-staff in his memory on Dec. 15.

Wayne loved Vicksburg and Warren County, and was so proud of his service. He would be deeply touched and honored, and we appreciate your remembering him with this special and dignified tribute.
