Services for Bernice Nelson will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nelson died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. She was 65.

She retired as a dietitian from Vicksburg Convalescent Home. She was a member of Word of Faith Christian Center and was a 1966 graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Nelson Sr. and Emma Nelson.

She is survived by one son, William Leroy Nelson of Vicksburg; two brothers, the Rev. Leon Nelson and Leonard Nelson, both of Vicksburg; one grandchild; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
