An armed robber who stole a woman’s purse Wednesday night was still on the lam this morning.

At 7:36 p.m., an employee of N 2 Styles Salon, 1110 Vanderbilt St., reported she was leaving work when a man pulled a gun on her and demanded her purse, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

The purse contained $300 and a cell phone valued at $180, Stewart said.

The suspect, described only as a black male wearing a gray pullover jacket, black pants and dark shoes, was last seen fleeing east on Grove Street, Stewart said.
