Martha Elizabeth Ferguson died Feb. 11, 2012, in South Belt, Texas. She was 102.

Mrs. Ferguson was the daughter of George Washington Oakes and Martha Jordan Oakes. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by a daughter, Frances Hancock; a grandson, Russell Hancock (Sandy); a great-granddaughter, Angela Respecki (Dennis); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett L. Ferguson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Sam Godfrey, rector of Christ Episcopal Church, officiating.
