Services for Charles McClendon will be at 11 a.m. Friday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert L. Miller Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Second Union Cemetery in Utica.

Mr. McClendon died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. He was 65.

He was a former employee of Batesville Casket Co. and Isle of Capri. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John L. McClendon Sr. and Emma Neal Magee.

He is survived by five brothers, John L. McClendon Jr. and Eddie McClendon, both of Vicksburg, Robert Neal of Delray Beach, Fla., Theto Gaines of California and Frank McClendon of Denver; a sister, Diane Ford of Las Vegas; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
