Services for John L. Shelby will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Calvary M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.

Mr. Shelby died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012. He was 55.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Smith; his mother, Louise Shelby; one sister, Barbara Jean Collins; and two brothers, Robert Lee Henderson and Robert Earl Shelby.

He is survived by two brothers, William Earl Shelby of Vicksburg and Willie James Smith of Las Cruces, N.M.; four sisters, Ruby Lee Chandler of Kankakee, Ill., Dorothy Marie Shelby and Pearlie Twilley, both of Vicksburg, and Evelyn Byrd of Edwards; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
