Bobby Wahl allowed one hit in seven scoreless innings, and Ole Miss beat UNC-Wilmington 2-0 Friday afternoon in the opener of a weekend series in Oxford.

Wahl (2-0) struck out nine, a career high, and walked two. Brett Huber pitched the ninth inning for his second save of the season.

Auston Bousfield and Alex Yarbrough each had two hits and an RBI for Ole Miss (3-1). Yarbrough had an RBI single in the third inning, and Bousfield had an RBI single in the seventh.
