Two Vicksburg men already out on bond for unrelated crimes face burglary charges after their arrest Saturday in a house that is being renovated in the 1200 block of National Street, Vicksburg police Sgt. Troy Kimble said.
Kimble said Alvis Christon, 34, 279 Ironwood Drive, and Comelia Floyd Jr., 25, 5636 Gibson Road, were being held without bond in the Issaquena County Jail pending an initial court appearance. At the time of the arrest, Kimble said, Christon was out on bond for sale of cocaine, and Floyd was out on bond for statutory rape.
Kimble said the burglary occurred about 11:30 a.m. Saturday. He said the father of the home’s owner pulled up to the house and found Christon and Floyd in the house removing items. Kimble said the man called police and held the two men until police arrived.
A ceramic tile saw, copper wire and tubing, 400 feet of extension cord and a partial roll of Romex wire were recovered, Kimble said.
