JACKSON — Services for Edna Mae Beard, formerly of Vicksburg, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Westhaven Funeral Home in Utica with the Rev. Earnest Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery. Visitation will be until 6 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Beard died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at her home in Jackson. She was 63.

Mrs. Beard was born in Vicksburg. She had worked in housekeeping at Holiday Inn.

She was preceded in death by her father, J.C. Johnson; a son, Louis Lee Johnson; and a brother, Leroy Johnson.

She is survived by a daughter, Sliva Reed of Biloxi; a son, Allen Reed of Jackson; her mother, Preavo Harris; one sister, Johnnie Mae Marble of Vicksburg; two brothers, J.C. Johnson of Utica and Ernest Johnson of Vicksburg; and other relatives, including Miranda Reed and Vicky Johnson.
