City man charged with third domestic violence

A Vicksburg man faces a charge of third-offense domestic violence after his arrest this morning on a warrant accusing him of assaulting his estranged wife, Vicksburg police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

He said Michael Rader, 42, 1950 Hope St., was being held without bond in the Issaquena County Jail pending an initial appearance today in Vicksburg Municipal Court.

He said Rader was arrested at 12:37 at the Elks Lodge, 817 Walnut St. He was accused in the warrant of hitting his estranged wife in the face and attempting to choke her at her home in the 100 block of Elizabeth Circle on Feb. 23.
