Miss Fields to marry Mr. Whitfield April 20

Rev. and Mrs. Michael W. Fields announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsea Margaret, to Jordan Bo Whitfield. Mr. Whitfield is the son of the Rev. and Mrs. Jason K. Whitfield of Hueytown, Ala. The engagement was announced Dec. 27 with a dinner of family and friends at Whitestone resort in Tennessee.

Miss Fields is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. George Y. Baladi of Madison and Mr. and Mrs. Norman W. Fields of Vicksburg.

Mr. Whitfield is the grandson of the Rev. and Mrs. Darrell Wilson of McAlla, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Whitfield of Columbiana, Ala.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Porters Chapel Academy, where she was involved in choir and drama. She attended Hinds Community College and Christ for the Nations in Dallas, Texas, where she studied music.

Miss Fields is employed at Triumph Church, where she works in the office and Youth and Music departments.

The prospective groom graduated with honors in 2006 from Rock Christian Academy, where he was valedictorian. He was a member and captain of the varsity football team and the varsity baseball team.

He attended the University of Alabama, where he studied music technologies.

Mr. Whitfield is youth pastor for Triumph Church.

The wedding will be at 7 p.m. April 20, 2012, at Triumph Church, Vicksburg. A reception will follow at the B’nai B’rith Literary Club. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
