Miss Koester to wed Eagles at First Baptist

Dr. Joseph P. and Susan L. Koester of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Hannah Elizabeth, to James Shelton Eagles. Mr. Eagles is the son of Paul S. and Kathie M. Eagles of Vicksburg.

Miss Koester is the granddaughter of J. Frank and Jean A. Baugh of Lexington, Ky.

Mr. Eagles is the grandson of Dr. William and Jerry Meredith of Greenville.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Warren Central High School, where she received the All-Around Arts award and was a member of Mu Alpha Theta and the National Honor Society.

She received an associate degree from Hinds Community College and is a senior at Mississippi State University, where she is pursuing a degree in biology. She is a member of the Honors Society and served as Phi Theta Kappa president.

Miss Koester is a bartender at Ruby Tuesday restaurant.

The prospective groom is a 2007 graduate of Vicksburg High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta. He was an Eagle Scout.

He attended Jones County Junior College and is a senior at Mississippi State University, where he is pursuing a degree in chemical engineering and is a member of ultimate frisbee intramural team.

Vows will be exchanged at 1:30 p.m. May 5, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Vicksburg. A reception will follow at the Holiday Inn. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
