Roger Dixon Kemp Wilson

Roger Dixon Kemp Wilson, a native of Kenner, La., and a resident of Vicksburg, passed away at 10:22 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2012, at Richard Murphy Hospice House. He was 69.
Dixon was a retired salesman in the oilfield industry and had many hobbies, two of them being cooking and entertaining. He also enjoyed telling jokes and playing pranks on his loving family.
Dixon leaves behind his wife, Sharen Ulrich Wilson; four daughters, Menette Burns and husband Thomas of Oxford, Melissa Taylor and husband Mike of Tickfaw, La., Michelle Juneau and husband Brian of Hammond, La., and Dianne “Dee Dee” Mahony and husband Rusty of Hammond, La.; a sister, Shirley Lacour and husband Dr. David Lacour; two brothers, Glenn Wilson and wife Gracie and Douglas Wilson and wife Terraine; and seven grandchildren, Emily and Claire Burns, Christopher Freese, Brody Juneau, Reed, Henry and Elliott Mahony.
Preceding Dixon in death were his parents, John Glenn and Bernadette Wilson.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral Mass at St. Albert the Great Chapel and Catholic Student Center, 409 W. Dakota St., Hammond, LA 70401 at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012, with visitation starting at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Randy Cuevas will officiate and interment will follow at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Richard Murphy Hospice House, at 16013 Halbert Road, Hammond, LA 70403.
