Tow truck driver Robert Johnson throws a part to a refrigerator into the bed of one of three wrecked vehicles at U.S. 61 North and Sherman Avenue after a wreck at about 9 p.m. Thursday. Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol Trooper Craig Morton said a black Mercedes headed south and driven by Mariella Simons collided with a red Ford pickup driven by Melissa Winters and the Mercedes spun into a blue Chevrolet Malibu driven by Herbert N. Brown. Winters and Brown were treated and released from River Region Medical Center, a hospital spokesman said this morning. Allen Karel said the hospital had no record of treating Simons. No ages or addresses were available.
