Courtney Gifford and Chelsei Peppers, both 21, offer Lance Rowe cold water while he makes his trek along North Frontage Road dressed as Jesus Saturday afternoon in Vicksburg. Gifford and Peppers were on their way to Arkansas when they say Rowe walking and decided to help him with some refreshments. Rowe, who was to preach at New Beginnings church Sunday, said he decided to carry the cross before because it gives him the opportunity to meet people and spread the word about his faith.
