Marie Williamson Mabry, 85, of Vicksburg, died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 30, 2012, at Promise Specialty Hospital in Vicksburg.

She was a very generous, loving, friendly person. She loved children. She had a special love for her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include her sons, Steve Mabry Jr. (Karen) of Vicksburg and John Mabry of Atlanta; sister, Edith Thompson of Fort Walton, Fla.; brother, Owen Williamson (June) of Vicksburg; grandchildren, Jean Marie Mabry and Julie Lynn Mabry, both of Vicksburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Steve M. Mabry Sr.; mother, Lucille Tucker Williamson; father, John J. Williamson Sr.; brother-in-law, Jimmy Simrall; Infant Mabry; brothers, John J. Williamson Jr. and James P. Williamson; and sister, Catherine Williamson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2012, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home in Vicksburg with the Rev. Susanna Carr officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Williamson, Joshua Williamson, Mike Whitehead, Kevin Whitehead, Joe Durst and Freddy Groome.
