PORT GIBSON — Michael L. Hargro Sr. died Monday, March 26, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. He was 54.
Mr. Hargro was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness and had served as a statistician for the Port Gibson High School football team. He was a technician at Entergy-Grand Gulf for more than 23 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Hargro Sr.; and a brother, Eddie Lee Hargro.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Crystal Hargro of Port Gibson; two sons, Tory A. Hargro of Fairfax, Va., and Michael L. Hargro Jr. of Jackson; one daughter, Brandi C. Hargro of Jackson; his mother, Annie M. Hargro of Lorman; four sisters, Betty Kinnard and Mamie Houston, both of Fayette, Julia Curry of Hermanville and Josephine Eichelberger of Jackson; three brothers, Willie Hargro Jr. of Fayette, Johnny Hargro of Jackson and Patrick Hargro of Lorman; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be at 11 this morning at Port Gibson High School gymnasium, 159 Old Highway 18 in Port Gibson, with Moses Frazier officiating.
Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson has charge of arrangements.
