Six plead guilty, are sentenced

In Warren County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday:

• Meageale Bell, 27, 1417 Hayes St., Apt. A, pleaded guilty before two judges to two counts of possession of a controlled substance. Judge Isadore Patrick sentenced Bell to Ninth Circuit Drug Court for a period not to exceed five years, a fine of $5,000 and $1,297.50 in court costs. On that charge Bell was indicted July 26. Judge M. James Chaney also sentenced Bell to drug court and $797.50 in costs. Bell was indicted in October on the second charge.

• Claude D. Berry, 51, Raymond, pleaded guilty to possession of more than 30 grams but less than 250 grams of marijuana and was sentenced by Chaney to one year in prison followed by two years’ probation, a fine of $3,000 and $622.50 in costs. Berry was indicted in May.

• Zachary Bryant, 24, 1117 Adams St., pleaded guilty to possession of more than 30 grams but less than 250 grams of marijuana and was sentenced by Chaney to three years’ probation, a $1,000 fine and $622.50 in costs. Bryant was indicted in October.

• Comilia Floyd Jr., 26, 5636 Gibson Road, pleaded guilty to statutory rape and was sentenced by Chaney to five years of probation, a $2,000 fine and $822.50 in costs. Floyd was indicted in October.

• Cressie Veronica Free, 24, 1965 Hope St., pleaded guilty to uttering a forgery and embezzlement and was sentenced by Chaney to a total of five years’ probation, $2,000 in fines, $1,000 restitution and $645 in costs. Free was indicted for uttering a forgery in October and embezzlement in January.

• Gerald Tyrone Vaughn, 33, 1011 Second North St., pleaded guilty to robbery and was sentenced by Chaney to five years in prison followed by five years of probation, a $5,000 fine, $66 restitution and $497.50 in court costs. Vaughn was indicted in October.
