K.B. Brown Sr. of Vicksburg died Friday, April 6, 2012, at his home. He was 77.
Mr. Brown was born in Edwards and lived in Vicksburg most of his life. He was a retired conservation officer with the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, & Parks for over 30 years. He was of the Baptist faith and loved playing the guitar and listening to country music. He was an avid trapper and a member of the Mississippi Trapping Association. He was especially fond of his dog, Blanca, who followed him wherever he went.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and Dewey H. Brown Sr.; a brother, Dewey Brown Jr.; and a sister, Lillian Farrior.
Survivors include two sons, K.B. Brown Jr. and wife Deborah, and Michael A. Brown and wife Susan, all of Vicksburg; two daughters, Cindy Brown Craft of Vicksburg and Stacy Henson and husband Gary, of Tyler, Texas; one brother, Douglas Brown of Vicksburg; one sister, Delores Pugh of Pass Christian; nine grandchildren, Lisa N. Poole, Amber Herron, K.B. “Trey” Brown III, Jessica Lovett, Daniel Brown, Leslie Skipworth, April Rusche, Joseph Rusche and Gage Henson; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Rusche, Daniel Brown, Chris Herron, Trey Brown, Glen Brown, Gary Brown, Todd Brown, Greg Brown and Gary Henson.
Honorary pallbearers are Mike Craft, Albert Eargle, Bud Cogan, Jim Thurman, David Birdsong, Reed Birdsong and Leith and Lyla Stennett.
Visitation will be from noon Monday until services at 2 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be at Edwards Cemetery.
