One Vicksburg woman was stabbed twice and another was in jail this morning.

The identity of the victim was not released, but Vicksburg police Capt. Bobby Stewart said she was treated and released from River Region Medical Center.

Arrested and charged with aggravated assault at 5:23 p.m. Tuesday was Stephanie Parson, 30, 2607 Hanna Ave., Stewart said.

Parson is accused of stabbing a 26-year-old woman in the left arm and upper chest after the woman gave a mutual friend a ride to Military and Franklin, Stewart said.

Parson was held this morning in the Issaquena County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
