The engagement of Sharon Horton Lamotte to Walter Earl Price, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged in a private ceremony at 2 p.m. June 2, 2012. A reception will follow. Attendance is by invitation only.

Ms. Lamotte is the daughter of Mary L. Horton of Jackson and Roosevelt Horton of Tallulah. She is the granddaughter of the late Iley Mack and Margie Mack of Mount Hermon, La., and the late Martha and Howard Jackson of Kentwood, La.

Mr. Price is the son of the late George and Willie Virginia Price of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late William and Lizzie Price, the late Clarence Rush and the late Annie Wilson, all of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 1985 graduate of Jewel M. Sumner High School, where she was named Soprano of the Year and was a member of the Music Club and Honor Chorus.

Ms. Lamotte is an overnight stocker at Walmart SuperCenter.

The prospective groom is a 1980 graduate of Warren Central High School. He is a valet attendant at Rainbow Casino.
