W.W. “Bill” Porter died Friday, April 13, 2012, at his home after a long illness. He was 67.

Mr. Porter, a native and lifelong resident of Warren County, was the son of Jessie I. and Catherine E. Wickman Porter. He retired from International Paper Co. in 2000 after 25 years. He was an avid hunter and was a longtime member of Gower Hunting Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Thomas Lamar Porter.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Judy Porter of Vicksburg; five daughters, Terri Pickens of Newellton, La., Robyn Jeffers and Jessica Parker, both of Vicksburg, Alicia Shine of Shreveport, La., and Samantha Martin of Sicily Island, La.; three sons, Douglas and Eric Porter, and Stewart Lott, all of Vicksburg; a sister, Louise McKenzie of Vicksburg; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
