Hester Watts

Services for Hester Watts will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnnie L. Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Watts died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Covenant Health & Rehab of Vicksburg. She was 99.

She retired from Biedenharn Bottling Co. and was a member of King David No. 2 M.B. Church, where she was the oldest living member and a mother of the church.

She was a member of Loving Friendship No. 20 Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Watts and Nancy Suggs; and a brother, William James Watts.

Survivors include her niece and caregiver, Anna Marshall of Vicksburg; four sisters, Artimease McCray and Alberta Jones, both of Detroit, Irene Watts of Los Angeles and Martha Brown of Vicksburg; and other relatives, including members of the Watts, Erves and Williams families.
