Perry O. Williams

TALLULAH — Services for Perry O. Williams of Tallulah will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah with the Rev. John Wilkins officiating. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah has charge of arrangements.

He died Friday, April 13, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. He was 88.

Mr. Williams was born in Iowa and lived in Tallulah for 58 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving the Construction Battalion in the Pacific Theater. After the war he served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired Louisiana Probation and Parole supervisor and taught at Tallulah High School and Tallulah Academy. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Tallulah.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Foster Williams of Tallulah; a son, E. Perry Williams of Tallulah; a daughter, Sandra Williams Wilkins of Tallulah; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
