George Payton Price Jr. died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. He was 69.

Mr. Price was born in Bossier City, La., and lived in Vicksburg most of his life. He was a welder at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Payton and Eula Price.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Price of Vicksburg; a son, George Price III of Vicksburg; two daughters, Tina Waldrep (Randy) of Vicksburg and Theresa Pittman (Matt) of Taylorsville; two sisters, Billie Marie Clarke of Clinton and Flora Deliah Jones of Vicksburg; and five grandchildren, Payton Price, Corvin Price, Destinee Waldrep, Aaron Waldrep and Christopher Moss.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 5 until 7.

Pallbearers will be Chris Jones, Dale Jones, Allen Jones, Shane Jones, Tommy Doty and James Goldsmith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Peyton, Danny Smith, Gregory Weeks, R.C. Quarles, Riley Nelson, James Pickel, Randy Waldrep and David Jones.
