Utica native tapped as U.S. Attorney

Jackson attorney Gregory K. Davis, a Utica native, has been sworn in as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Mississippi, which consists of 45 counties in the southern half of the state.
He was admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 1987 and began his career as an associate attorney with Stamps & Stamps law firm. He was a founder and partner in the Davis, Goss & Williams law firm in Jackson.
A native of Utica, Davis graduated from Mississippi State University in 1984 with a degree in chemical engineering and received his law degree from Tulane University Law School in New Orleans in 1987.
He is a member of the Magnolia Bar Association and the Mississippi Bar Association and lives in Jackson with his wife, Daphne, and their three daughters.
