Services for Earnestine Allen will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Pilgrim M.B. Church, Freetown. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Service. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.

Ms. Allen died Friday, April 20, 2012, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 74.

She was born in Hinds County and lived most of her life in Vicksburg. She attended Sharkey County Training School and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earnest Allen; her mother and stepfather, Savannah Allen Wheatley and Robert Wheatley; a sister, Gladys Ellis; a brother, Herman Wheatley; and her grandparents, Ceaser and Mary Edwards.

She is survived by three sisters, Robbie Hearn and Mary French, both of Vicksburg, and Annie B. Harrison of Houston, Texas; and two brothers, Richard Wheatley of Monroe, LA. and Reginald Wheatley of Kingwood, Texas.
