Eight individuals and two relay teams will represent Porters Chapel Academy at the MAIS Class A South State Championships after qualifying at the District 5-A meet this week.

Bryce Fleming was first in the shot put and fourth in the discus. Ransom Moulder was fourth in the shot. Samantha Brewer was fourth in the shot. Peter Harris was fourth in the long jump and the 100-meter dash. Peyton Guider was second in the 200- and 400-meter dash.

Justin McDaniel was second in the 100-meter dash. Wes Allison was fourth in the 800-meter run.

The girls’ relay team of Alaina Hubbard, Samantha Mims, Hannah Krapac and Elizabeth Holloway were fourth in both the 400- and the 800-meter relay.

The boys’ relay team of Bryce Fleming, Peter Harris, Justin McDaniel and Alton Burden was first in the 400- and 800-meter relays. With Wes Allison taking over for McDaniel, the team finished third in the 1,600-meter relay.
