The engagement of Shanda D. Banks to James R. Dixon III, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. The wedding will be at 3 p.m. June 2, 2012, at Greater Mount Zion M.B. Church. A reception will follow at Vicksburg Convention Center. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miss Banks is the daughter of the late Ellis A. Banks and Annie L. Banks of Hermanville.

Mr. Dixon is the son of James R. Dixon Jr. and Barbara J. Phelps, both of Vicksburg.
