Hughes to marry Mr. Sykes June 23

The engagement of Chavonn L. Hughes of Newport News, Va., to Matthew G. Sykes of Vicksburg is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 4 p.m. June 23, 2012, at Word of Faith Christian Center, 3525 Wisconsin Ave. A reception will follow at Riverwalk Casino Hotel. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miss Hughes is the daughter of Paula L. Jackson and Lemuel C. Hughes of Hampton, Va., and Farrell, Pa.

Mr. Sykes is the son of Nada Sykes and the late Melvin C. Sykes of Vicksburg.
