SCHC announces May events schedule

The Southern Cultural Heritage Center, 1302 Adams St., offers a dance and floral arrangement class in May.
From 5 to 6 p.m., May 6, James Frechette, owner of Applause Dance factory, will instruct participants on how to dance the waltz. The cost is $10.
From 5:30-7:30 p.m., May 22, instructor Beau Lutz will lead a roadsidia, centerpiece workshop. Participants will construct a floral arrangement using items collected on the roadside or from nature. The cost is $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers and supplies are included. Participants are encouraged to bring their own nature items. The workshop is part of the Hobbs Freeman Art and Nature Celebration.
