A splash and a giggle

Just as the breezy April weather was on its way out and a warmer May was on the way in, these three boys found the temperature just right for a little playtime in the splash fountain in the Art Park at Catfish Row Monday afternoon. Monday’s temperature was in the high 80s, and cloudy skies and highs in the 80s are expected through the week until Saturday, when the National Weather Service is forecasting the mercury will hit the 90 mark. The splash park on Mulberry Street at City Front is open daily from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Playing in the water are, from left, 7-year-old Jake Maughon and 5-year-old Charlie Maughon, the sons of Stephanie and Landy Maughon of Vicksburg, and 4-year-old Max Hearn, the son of Kelly Shehane and Max Hearn of Vicksburg.
