“I thought we played pretty well tonight, and we demonstrated a lot of balance in the lineup,” LSU coach Paul Mainieri said. “Every starter in our lineup either had a hit or scored a run, and we had some tough, competitive at-bats.”

Former Vicksburg High star Bowen Woodson led Tulane (29-16) with three hits. He finished 3-for-5 with a double, triple, one RBI and a run scored.

His RBI triple in the fourth inning brought in the Green Wave’s first run, and in the eighth inning he reached on an error and scored on a base hit by Brandon Boudreaux.

Arkansas 6, Missouri 3

Derrick Bleeker went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored to lead Arkansas (32-13) over future SEC rival Missouri (23-20).

Bleeker reached base all four times he came to the plate. He doubled twice, tripled and reached on an error.

Nolan Sanburn (3-1) earned the win for Arkansas. He started and allowed one hit while striking out seven in four shutout innings. Tyler Wright also threw three scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
