Emma Mae Marshall

STAR CITY, Ark. — Emma Mae Marshall of Star City, Ark., died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at the Arkansas Hospice Center in Little Rock. She was 86.

She was born Nov. 10, 1925, in Mena, Ark., to Ansel Hallie and Camelia Susan Bliss Jones. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Little Rock.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Virgil E. Marshall; and two brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include a son, Fred Marshall of Pottsville, Ark.; two daughters, Jewell Willis of Jacksonville, Ark., and Marilyn Deweese of Star City; a brother, Phil Jones of Vicksburg; a sister, Anna Jo Thomas of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Shinn Funeral Home chapel of Russellville, Ark., with the Rev. Joel Holmes officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery near Atkins, Ark. Visitation will be from 4 until 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
